In 1971, Lionel Rodgers bought his first store paint from the hands of his employer at the time.  With his experience as manager of the store and its entrepreneurial spirit, he then opened his first shop "La Maison du Peintre" in Ahuntsic Montreal.  At that time, La Maison du Peintre occupied 1,500 sq. ft and the turnover was $ 35,000.

35 years later, our  headquarters  occupy over 20,000 sq. ft and our sales rise to well over ten million.  In addition to 7 new branches in the Greater Montreal Area, the company now employs over 50 employees who receive regular training.

In 1991, La Maison du Peintre acquires a paint store located in Rosemont.  In 1993, he opened two new stores, one in St-Leonard and the other in Ahuntsic. In 1997, it was the turn of the city of Longueuil to welcome a new branch of La Maison du Peintre. Then in 2000, in Laval's Duvernay district that the company chose to expand.

photo_entreprise_propos3aContinually growing and innovating, La Maison du Peintre then acquires of two new stores, one in Cartierville in 2002, and the other at LaSalle in 2003. Over time, La Maison du Peintre has built a large clientele of contractors, painters, representing 65% of the market. Our SICO authorized agent counters are present in most branches to serve these customers as efficiently as possible. Two delivery trucks also provide a delivery service for those who want it.In tree of our superstores an interior designer are available on site to offer advice and assist you in your decorating projects.  And their advice is completely free.

The future of the La Maison du Peintre is in good hands. Indeed, Daniel Rodgers, son of our president and founder, is gradually taking over the family business and several other family members also work for the smooth running of daily business. This strong team of experienced executives is responsible for this dynamic and visionary management.
